AC/DC: Düsseldorf Footage Available
March 8, 2009AC/DC Italia has uploaded fan-filmed video footage of AC/DC's March 7, 2009 concert at the ISS Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany. Watch the clips below.
According to a posting on AC/DC's official web site, the band was forced to cancel its March 3 concert at Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Belgium "due to the sudden illness of singer Brian Johnson. Johnson is suffering from a serious case of the flu and [was] unable to perform. Fans will be compensated with either a refund or tickets to the band's June 23 show at Amsterdam Arena."
Longtime AC/DC director David Mallet was in Paris, France last month with a film crew to film a promotional video for the new "Black Ice" single, "Anything Goes". The clip was shot at Bercy in the afternoon on Friday, February 27 in the empty venue, with additional sequences filmed during the concert that same night.
AC/DC's "Black Ice" was among the top-selling albums of 2008 globally, according to new figures from the London-based International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI),which represents the recording industry worldwide.
Two AC/DC tracks, "Shoot To Thrill" and "War Machine", are being used as theme songs for WrestleMania XXV, which takes place on April 5 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas.
